Our Story

When whisperings of a development that was to become The Village first emerged, Alfie and his nephew, Nick, teamed up with the Turchetti family, to launch the group’s second restaurant, Alfie’s Pizzeria and Deli.

With a more casual atmosphere to compliment the more simplistic food offering, but in line with our desire to do things right, we brought in a three time Italian champion pizzaiolo (pizza chef) to assist in creating an authentic offering. Under Nicky’s stewardship, Alfie’s Pizzeria and Deli has grown to become a Mecca for authentic Italian pizza and cuisine in Gauteng, as well as a great spot to watch the world go by with an Aperol Spritz or coffee in hand.
